How easily we forget

Hmmm let me think... ever known someone that has played the victim role since the first day you met them? But, subsequently you fell for the cry me a river role to try to rectify their situation. Maybe you did things from the heart or just tried to help that person out from material or monetary items. Then there comes a point when you have exhausted all of your mental and emotional reserve for that individual. A timeout or game over is called for self reserve; but at the same time trying not to burn all ties, with a check in every now and then with the me against the world person you call a friend. Then all of a sudden you find yourself being the one that made your cry me a river friend the reason why they cried a river! Now all allegations are against you; and you weren't there for them... SMCH(sound made when the situation is unbelievable)! Now all of a sudden they forget the one that stayed up late at night with them on the phone, who gave them a ride when they needed one, gave them a little extra change when they needed some, gave them advice, and did everything you could to make the situation more manageable. Now the table has turned and you haven't been there when they needed you and just abandoned them!

Hmmmm....How easily we forget! The people who have did what they could no matter how big or small the situation may be you are not in the equation of the people who have helped them out or supported them along the way.

What are the circumstances or situations that you have encountered of the how easily we forget people?

MEET THE FAMILY

No one can understand and appreciate my family like I can; they are some real characters(including myself)...but I love them! With that being said; when is it an appropriate time to invite someone that you have been dating to meet the world class wrecking crew? You know bring them along with you to all the cookouts, fish fries, card games,Sunday dinner, etc.

Do you prep them before hand about your uncle Junebug(I think everybody got one of those), You know the one that has a crack addiction; which makes you take precaution(people slip when they drink) and have you walking around the house with your purse tied around your neck, and has you constantly feeling your pockets for your car keys, phone, gum, MAC lip gloss. He'll get you if you're caught slipping to trade out for his habit. He's like one of the smartest people I know but fell off somewhere on his path.

Do you warn them about your sister who will give you a severe tongue lashing and taser your a$$ at the same time if you utter anything wrong, or if she feels that you are treating her baby sister wrong(thanks for having my back). Then...after you have been read your rights and walking away with your tail between your legs, she'll continue with her drink and drop it like it's hot to the latest song. She is soo Jazzy and Classy; but don't let the good looks fool you, always be on your best behavior you never know when you have pushed the wrong button.

Then there's my son aka my daddy/man. If he thinks that you have any type of interest in me, he'll stand by me and wrap his arm around my waist while looking at you saying non-verbally this is my lady! Don't let your eyes wonder in the wrong place cause he's watching your every movement and will tell you stop looking at my momma bootie.

Now after working your way up the totem pole there's ma duke. She will ask you a million and 5 questions, so make sure you have a life line ready. She will give you one of the most intimidating stares I've seen in my life! Don't get wrong or look wrong b/c she'll call the rest of the world class wrecking crew not mentioned in this here blog.

So when is an appropriate time to let the person you have been dating to meet your family?
